GWMC has been involved in executive and expatriate recruitment for more than 10

years and has successfully placed hundreds of candidates in mining operations in Ghana, Zambia, Uganda, Tanzania, Indonesia and Australia.

We can provide a complete service out of Australia to source experienced expatriate managers, professionals, technicians and supervisors from Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Indonesia, South Africa and South East Asia. We have an extensive network of personnel who have worked as expatriates in Africa and South East Asia (including Indonesia).

We utilise the following recruitment process:

• The internal company client e-mails to us an authority to recruit and a copy of the job description
• (if required) we will, within twenty-four (24) hours, prepare a draft advertisement and e-mail the draft to the client for approval
• Arrange for the advertisement to be placed in the agreed media - for newspaper advertising agreed proofs received before noon on Thursday will ensure that the advertisement appears the next weekend in Australian newspapers but agreed proofs are required by Tuesday for South African newspapers
• Receive, acknowledge and review all applications
• Conduct preliminary interviews with candidates on the initial short list
• Provide the client with a short list of suitable candidates within three (3) weeks of the advertisement being placed
• Arrange interviews between the recommended candidates and the client's nominee
• Arrange psychometric testing of the final two (2) candidates (at the client's election)
• Conduct detailed reference checks on the selected candidate
• Arrange for a pre-employment medical of the successful applicant
• Reimburse any applicant expenses
• Release all unsuccessful applicants
• Assist successful applicants with relocation

We recommend this type of methodology because it breaks the recruitment process into its constituent parts, the majority of which are transactional, and as a consequence are easily outsourced. The decision-making activity, that is, the selection of the appropriate candidate, is retained in-house. We will provide a weekly report on the status of every assignment in accordance with your internal reporting arrangements.
